Target Hunger

Last week, we presented last years chosen charity, Target Hunger, with a cheque for $2516. Mrs Donna Brownlow, Director of food services for Target Hunger was very appreciative and thanked the BISH community of Parents, Teachers and Students (you).

Mrs Brownlow talked passionately about the work that Target Hunger is doing in the Houston community to help fight hunger and food insecurity. For more information about how you can help, please visit their website at www.targethunger.com.

PLEASE HELP

Help is particularly needed at this time of year as Target Hunger prepares for the distribution of food over the holiday period. If you would like to help out and make an immediate difference, Mrs Brownlow has asked for volunteers to participate in food packing from Thursday Nov 12 to Friday Nov 20 and distribution on Sat 21st. A member of our school community and passionate Target Hunger volunteer, Mrs Laing, has organized a group of helpers for next Wednesday, November the 18th. They are aiming to help with food packing from 10am to 1.30/2pm. Please contact us If you would like to join them or want to know more and we'll forward your message to Mrs Laing.

Do you have an idea for a project within the school. Why not apply for PTSA funding and see if you can make it happen.
